Welcome!
My name is Parker Pence and I am the founder and editor of The Kirkwood Gadfly. I started this website while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, ironically enough, in April of 2017. It is my hope that this website will serve to spur public action to make Kirkwood Missouri a better community in every sense of the word.
Just as Socrates thought of himself as the gadfly of Athens, a sort of pestering fly not afraid to piss some people off in order to effect change, it is my hope that this website too will be a vehicle for change even if it means stepping on a few toes.
I encourage you to disagree with what is found here within and share your own ideas as well. Come with an open mind, leave with a full heart, and go make a difference. We are the gadfly.
